We need your help. U7-Orange played the wrong team!

Hello Parents,

At the end of yesterday’s match where the U7-Orange team lost 1-0, we thought that we had lost to Robinson O’Neal, which is the opponent name we drew on Tuesday. It was after the match that we found out that we were put to play against Bregado Flax! We were supposed to play the team whose name we drew, and if there was a mix-up then there should have been a re-draw.

Well, the parents have decided that we need to reach out to the BVI Football Association so that FAIR PLAY, which is highly promoted by the FIFA, will overrule what has taken place. In order to get this done we need numbers, plenty people “rattling the cage” so WE NEED YOU  to call or email the Football Association and address Mr. Alfred Reid who is the Acting General Secretary to let him know that we would like yesterday’s match to be erased and proper procedure followed where we can draw again and play whoever we draw. RIGHT IS RIGHT.

Here is how to get in touch with the BVI Football Association: tel 494 5655 or 340 5655 (mobile) | fax +1284 494 8968

email: bvifa@surfbvi.com

Thanks for your help.

U9 advances to Finals. U7 play semifinal today!

Congratulations to our U9 football team who now advance to the finals in the BDO Primary football league. The match on Wednesday was a good one and our team showed decisive superiority with a 4-0 win over Cedar White.

Both teams are to be congratulated of course for making it so far in the competition. Lookout for schedule announcement of the final match.

The U7 team which advanced to semifinals will have their match today at 3:30 at the A Scatliffe pitch. Please try to come out and support the team.

U7-Orange football team now in Semi Finals

Hello Everyone,

We had a very exciting match today where the U7 Orange team won their match against Montessori, which NOW puts them into the Semi-Finals (today’s match was a quarter-final – we had a mix-up and thought it was a semi . . . anyway).

Coach Colin would like to have a practice tomorrow (Wednesday) after school with the team so if you can, please send your child prepared for a practice. Also, someone safeguarded Coach Colin’s last blue ball at the match today. Please send it tomorrow so they can use it for the practice.

On Thursday the team will meet Robinson O’Neal at 3:30 at A. Scatliffe pitch for the Semi-final match. Please come out on time to support the team as they hope to make it to the finals and to win the league.

Big thanks to everyone who came out today, we had an exciting time and when the match went to penalty shootouts and then to sudden death, it was really stressful for some parents. We were victorious and congratulate the team for not giving up. Our worthy opponents, Montessori, are also to be congratulated for a great match.

U9 Semi Final Match; Today’s U12 match won by forfeit!

Much to our disappointment, because we love to play and watch matches, St Georges has decided to forfeit today’s U12 match as they are not in the playoffs and they have exams this and next week. This puts our U12 team at the top of the group

On Wednesday, U9 has a SEMI FINAL match against Cedar White at Baughers Bay starting at 3:45pm. We must win this match to move forward to the finals so parents please get the players ready for this important match.

This week at FIPS – FOOTBALL updates

On Saturday morning our U12 team was not aware of a match scheduled to be played on Virgin Gorda and we missed the 9:00 ferry. Thanks to the fast work of the dedicated Football Parents, we scraped a team together and were able to catch the 10:15 ferry. We got to Virgin Gorda just in time to play the match against Claudia Creque whose team had arrived from Anegada that morning. It was a good match and we were victorious with a final score of 3-0. Congratulations to all team members, those who made it and those who could not. Also special thanks for the moral support from Lucas Santos who is not able to play any more matches because of a broken arm. Get well soon Lucas!

Monday 19-May will see the U12 team again in action at Baughers Bay as we take on St Georges in our final match. The match is loosely scheduled to start between 3:45 and 4:15.

Tuesday 20-May the U7-Orange team will play their qtr-final match at Althea Scatliffe at about 3:45

Thursday 22-May – If the U7 Orange are victorious in their quarter-final match, they will be in the semifinal on this day, also at A. Scatliffe at about the same time.

Good luck to both our teams that are playing this week.

Sat. May 3rd – U12 Match Postponed

Due to rain and both teams traveling by boat to the venue, the match today had been postponed.

Please look out for the new date and time. Thank you.

One more football change for U7Grey

Hi Parents,

Kindergarten and Grade 1 are going on a field trip to Anegada on Friday so we have rescheduled their Virgin Gorda Saturday morning game to Monday at 4:20 at A. Scatliffe.

We think it would be too much for them to jump on a boat to go and play just after coming back from a long boat ride the evening before.

Thank you
